About Shailushi

Shailushi Ritchie is founder of and lead consultant of Nonprofit Writing Solutions. She has over a decade of experience creating written products for advocacy, policy, and research organizations. Shailushi has written proposals for The California Endowment, The California Wellness Foundation, and The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, as well as several smaller foundations. She has also authored proposals to state and federal agencies. Her program and administrative writing projects include: newsletter articles, project reports, press releases, training and technical assistance materials, Opinion-Editorials, Letters to the Editor, policy papers, and content for web pages.

Although most of her professional life has been spent in the nonprofit sector, she also has experience working in government agencies and academic settings, including the Illinois Department of Public Health and San Francisco State University. Shailushi also serves on the Board of Directors for ACCESS, a reproductive rights organization.

Shailushi has a Master in Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Michigan with a concentration in Health Behavior/Health Education and a Bachelor in Arts degree from Illinois Wesleyan University with a double concentration in Biology and Philosophy.
